vintage MSR Rapidfire stove, a classic remote canister backpacking stove.Product OverviewIntroduced in the late 1980s and discontinued in the early 2000s, the Rapidfire was Mountain Safety Research's (MSR) very first entry into the compressed canister gas market. Its design shares the exact burner assembly and folding leg structure of the legendary liquid-fuel MSR WhisperLite, but it features a dedicated, thick brass-braided hose terminated with a control valve and a Lindal valve connector.Because it lacks a priming cup underneath the burner block, it is strictly built to burn standard isobutane-propane canister fuel rather than white gas or kerosene.
