What is Direx?

Direx is an all-in-one ticketing and business management solution for tourism businesses. Thanks to being cloud-based and hosted, Direx requires no upgrades or maintenance of software from you. This gives you the freedom to access and operate your businessin-destination or anywhere with an internet connection.

How does Direx make money?

The primary source of our revenue comes from booking fees, a small percentage of each transaction (ticket booking) processed through Direx. For additional information, please refer to our pricing page.

Do I need to be technical to use Direx?

No, technical expertise is not necessary to use Direx. When we onboard your business, we offer training sessions for your staff to familiarize them with the product and its functionality.

Do I need to install any software?

Direx operates entirely in the cloud. All you require is a device with a web browser and an active internet connection.

Are there minimum system requirements for to use of Direx?

Direx is cloud-based, so it is compatible with any device equipped with a modern web browser. We recommend using Google Chrome, but Internet Explorer 9 and newer, as well as the latest versions of Firefox and Safari, are also supported.

Do I need a website to use Direx?

No. However, if you require a website with a custom brand, our in-house IT team is fully equipped to assist you.

What tourism business is suitable for Direx?

Using Direx is completely free! You won’t have to pay any fees to get started, and there are no hidden fees. If you want extra features and customization, you can upgrade to our paid version, which has a monthly subscription fee.

Which countries does direx support?

Direx is presently limited to the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Do you offer any training or support?

To help your business reach its full potential, we provide consistent in-person and live online training sessions, a variety of video resources, and continuous support as needed. Our team is available to assist you at every stage of your journey.

Are customer details safe?

Yes. They are completely secure. Any interaction between you, your customers, and Direx is encrypted with 256-bit SSL. Payments made by your customers on Direx are processed by world-class payment gateways with PCI-DSS-compliant systems.

What currencies are available on Direx?

How long does it take for me to get my money?

All funds from online bookings through Direx are automatically transferred to your account via your selected integrated payment processor. The timeframe for receiving your funds is contingent upon the payment processor’s schedule. For specific details, kindly refer to the pricing page of the selected payment processor.

How much does it cost to integrate a payment gateway on Direx?

Payment gateway fees can differ based on the service provider. Each payment gateway comes with its own unique rates and fee structures. It’s important to note that connecting a payment gateway to Direx does not incur any additional costs.

If you don’t accept payments on my behalf, how do you collect your booking fees?

Instead of charging fees individually for each booking, we aggregate the fees throughout the month. At the end of the month, we provide you with a consolidated invoice reflecting the total sum of fees accrued during that period.

Do my customers need to open a Direx account to make a booking?

While we don’t require them to create an account directly with us, your customers may need to establish an account with one of the third-party platforms we’ve integrated to access certain payment methods when finalizing online bookings.
